Books on how to increase sales probably top in quantity of any business genre. For without revenue businesses or organizations cannot make payroll, pay their vendors, ensure fixed costs are covered while still having enough monetary reserves or profits.

Having been in sales for 30 plus years, I have always believed that who you are as an individual comes first before who you as a salesperson. In this book, People Buy You, Jeb really takes that belief and makes it very real as well as practical.

His common sense writing approach intermixed with personal stories reinforces that successful selling begins and ends with the authenticity of the individual. Using a variety of historical to contemporary resources, he weaves a very simple and yet compelling argument about what sales is not about selling, but far more about buying. What was incredibly interesting and very insightful was the over nine pages devoted just to the importance of smiling. In most other sales training coaching books, the reader would have been exposed to specific selling skills such as making a great case, asking open questions and let us not forget how to close the deal.

Another accepted behavior within the marketing phase of the overall sales process is the concept of establishing rapport. Blount suggests that this in its rawest form is pure manipulation. Maybe that is why I have always preferred building a mutually agreeable and beneficial relationship.

How to Teach Gymnastics Mommy and Me Classes

Mommy and me gymnastics classes are designed for kids 18 months to 3 years old. At this age it is very hard to keep their attention. As a coach it is your responsibility to keep it fun and enjoyable, do not overwhelm them!

Every mommy and me class should begin with a short warm up. I like to start the class with something fun and active like the duck dance. This is followed by stretching. When you stretch you need to use your imagination. You may use little stuffed animals, bean bags or balls to make it more fun. If you make a pike call it an alligator and ask the kids what they want to feed it. After you finish stretching it is time to start your rotations.

Each rotation in mommy and me classes should be fun, creative and short. It is very important not to add too many stations. Too many stations makes it very hard, stressful and over whelming for the little gymnasts, moms and coaches. Make sure you don't add to many new skills at one time. Repetition is a good thing at this age. You may have two forward roll spots, one on the wedge and one on the floor.

You need to get the kiddo's attention and keep it by making it fun! Instead of saying jump spot to spot you could say hop like a frog on the lily pads. You could pretend the wedge mat is a big hill. The beam can become a plank that has sharks swimming under it. I can guarantee if you tell the mommy and me classes, "on this spot you do a forward roll, on the beam you walk forward, on the wedge you roll sideways...." You will lose their interest in the matter of seconds. So make it fun, be creative, use your imagination and you will keep their attention and they will learn!

So you’ve decided to go out on your own as an IT consultant? Perhaps you want to be your own boss, work when you want, and of course there’s the money. You’ve got the skills and experience to do the job. Is that all you need? Not quite!

The scary thing is now you have to go out and find some clients. You may belong to an agency that supplies consultants, but you’ve still got to persuade the client that you’re the best man or woman for the job.

A business relationship between a consultant and a client is like any other relationship – it needs to be based on trust. To achieve this you need to build rapport with the client: smile, be friendly and professional, and show him or her that you can achieve their business goals in the timeframe required.

Never take on work you don’t have the skills for, and don’t take on too much work at one time. If you say you are equal to the job, you must be able to complete the project in the required time and with the highest quality. If you find you can’t do this, once you’ve started a project, you may need to subcontract someone to help you. Clients want results, not excuses.

Also make sure the project specification is absolutely clear and unambiguous. If you have any doubts, ALWAYS ASK. Both you and the client should sign it.

If the client changes the scope of the project, you are entitled to change the deadline and charge more for your services.

An IT consultant needs to be a good communicator. You should have excellent communications channels with the client to identify any unforeseen problems as soon as possible, to avoid delays in project completion. Perhaps there’s a hardware or software problem that isn’t your fault – you need to alert the client.

To be successful as a consultant you need regular cash flow. To achieve this you need to have a number of projects at different stages. Some clients take longer to pay you than others. If they take too long to pay you, seek legal advice.

How To Raise Baby Quails

One bird that is gaining a lot of popularity as of late is quails. Raising baby quails can be a tough challenge. Baby quails often times will be fragile plus they will appear to be helpless. Quails will need a lot of warmth. The baby quails mother would have provided the warmth that you will be giving the quail.

Instructions On How To Raise Baby Quails

First you will need to purchase the brooder that is commercial or either get a tank that is covered and breathable. It should have either a heated blue lamp or a 100 watt red plus one thing that will need to be installed should be the thermostat to help with regulating the temperature which is vital for newborn quails.

Secondly the brooders temperature needs to be at least 95 degrees Fahrenheit for the first week. The thermostat will need to be decreased by 5 degrees every week until the brooder shows a consistent degree of 70 and once that happens then the heat will not need to be heated anymore.

Underneath the light a red clay brick should be placed within the brooder in order to help with letting the bird have some warmth.

The bottom of your brooder should be lined with the matting that is nonskid at the beginning until its born and then it should be changed to the Dry Stall which is a horse bedding mix and the sand can easily be found at the feed stores.

Water should be poured in a jar lid that is shallow and then placed in the aquarium stone so that way the baby quail will not fall in and should be able to drink around the aquarium stones. It should also be refilled rather frequently.

You can either grind game up or either get some food from the pet store. If you decide to grind up the food then you can put it in a coffee grinder and grind it up. Make sure that the bird gets enough vitamins, minerals and protein.

It is also important that the baby quail learns how to pick with just sprinkling some chick feed on the bottom of the brooder then tapping its food with your fingertips. This is a great way for the baby quail to learn survival skills.

Tips On Raising Baby Quails

When you use a heat lamp do not use a white one if you plan on raising more than just one. The reason why is because it will cause them to peck on one another and you do not want that to happen.

Do not mix the baby and adult quail together if it hatches from the incubator. The adult might try and kill the bird if that happens.
